Beautiful and Stable Full-Arch Replacement Teeth with Top-Quality Implant Dentistry

Implant-Supported DenturesFor many years, the solution to replacing a full arch of missing teeth has been acrylic dentures that are supported by the gums, and until recently this was the only option available. These dentures, however, have numerous disadvantages, including being unstable, moving around in the mouth, causing painful sores and resulting in bone loss that requires multiple relines and refits of dentures over time.

Modern technology has made it possible to eliminate these disadvantages by using dental implants to support and stabilize dentures. Implants hold your dentures firmly in place, give your dentures greatly enhanced chewing power and help to prevent bone loss in your jaw.

Dr. Davidson is highly skilled and experienced in using implants to provide full-arch tooth replacement. He offers several types of implant-supported dentures. In some cases, he can use dental implants to stabilize a patient’s existing dentures.

We offer several types of implant-supported options for full-arch tooth replacement, including the following:

Implant-supported, permanently fixed-in New Teeth in One Day

All-on-Four-w-implantsDr. Davidson places as few as four implants in each arch to support a full-arch set of replacement teeth that are firmly fixed-in and can only be removed by a dentist. Known as the “New Teeth in One Day” procedure, this breakthrough technology makes it possible for most patients to receive any needed extractions, have their implants placed and walk-out with a brand new set of replacement teeth, all within the space of a single day.

The new teeth provide chewing power close to that of natural teeth and they look, feel and function very much like real teeth. Special implant placement techniques used during the New Teeth in One Day procedure usually eliminate the need for bone grafting, even for patients with severe bone loss who would not have been candidates for implants in the past!

Implant-supported, snap-on dentures

ISDA more economical alternative to fixed-in new teeth is the removable snap-on denture. Dr. Davidson can place a series of implants that will securely retain a denture using special snap-on attachments. You can snap the denture onto the implants and remove it at any time.

While snapped in, the denture is stable in your mouth. It does not need messy adhesives to hold it in place, and your chewing power is significantly boosted. You do not have to put up with the irritation and sores that result from a traditional denture rubbing against your gums.

Stabilizing your current denture with implants

denturestabilization2Under certain circumstances, dental implants can be used to stabilize an existing denture. Dr. Davidson places between two and four implants on each arch, and retrofits your denture with snap-on attachments to hold it firmly in place.

After this procedure, your dentures will not move around in your mouth, and they will be more comfortable to wear. Stabilizing your dentures with dental implants will also greatly increase your chewing power.
